Handmade Pottery Landscape Mug -‘Cornish Storm’ Mug

Cornish Storm Large coastal slab built stoneware Mug formed in my Cornish Studio, Sparrows Nest.

New folded design to the seam of the mug. Celebrating handbuilding pottery.

Approx 365-380mls and approx 10cm in height.

Clay is sourced locally from St Agnes. Celebrating slow made hand building with the new folded slab built design. Stoneware clay is handrolled, cut and folded to form a mug shape, the process take 3-4 weeks from start to fnish.

If ready to ship mugs are sold out and you are ordering made to order - this takes 3 weeks approx. If you need it by a set date it’s always worth messaging me as I often have mugs in the process.

Inspired by those wonderfully Stormy days in Cornwall. When you are on a walk and the skies are laden with heavy clouds, rain is running off your hood, and the wind whips sand across your face, your face is glowing with aliveness. Once home you fill your favourite Cornish Storm mug with tea and snuggle by the open fire under a blanket with your hands warming around your mug. Each mug is hand formed in a beautiful speckled

clay. The glazes are the result of much experimentation to create dramatic landscape scenes. You will receive a mug from this series. As they are handmade no mug is the same, so you may or may not receive a mug from this particular photo.
